Terms of service
Last updated September 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of the website at tesio.ai and the application at app.tesio.ai (together, the “Service”), operated by Tesio AI (“Tesio”, “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Tesio is a study tool. You bring your own material (documents, audio, video, links, text), organise it in folders, and the Service generates study content over it (guides, courses, quizzes, flashcards, notes, chat answers, illustrations) and schedules reviews so you retain what you studied. Folders can be shared with other people you invite.
We improve the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the Service entirely we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your material.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the application. You must be at least 13 years old, provide accurate information, and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account; tell us immediately at [email protected] if you believe it has been compromised.
3. Your content
You keep every right you have in the material you upload and in the content the Service generates from it for you. You grant Tesio the licence needed to operate the Service on that material: to store it, process it, transmit it to the AI providers described in the privacy policy, display it to you and to the members of the folders you put it in, and produce derivative content (transcripts, embeddings, generated material) for you.
You are responsible for having the right to use the material you bring. Do not upload material you are not allowed to copy or process, and do not share, through an open folder or otherwise, material you are not allowed to share.
When you delete material, a folder or your account, the corresponding content is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
4. AI-generated content
Generated content is produced automatically by large language models from your material, without human review. It can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and it can differ from your sources. It is a study aid, not a source of truth: verify anything you rely on against the original material, and do not use the Service as a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
Output generated for you belongs to you to the extent the law allows. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users from similar material.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law, or to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- upload malicious code, or try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure or other users’ data;
- interfere with the Service’s operation, circumvent its limits, or use automated means to access it beyond what its interface allows;
- resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product by systematically extracting its output;
- use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, harassing, or that exploits minors;
- share credentials, or let anyone else use your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
6. Plans, billing and renewal
The Service offers a free plan with usage limits and a paid plan (“Pro”) with higher limits, as shown on the pricing page. Limits are enforced by the Service and may change; we will not reduce the limits of a paid plan during a period you have already paid for.
Paid plans are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), which acts as merchant of record: Paddle processes your payment, issues the invoice, and collects applicable taxes. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase in addition to these terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings in the application, through Paddle’s customer portal; the subscription then stays active until the end of the period already paid and is not renewed. If a renewal payment fails you keep access for a short grace period while Paddle retries; if it still fails the subscription is cancelled.
Prices are in US dollars unless shown otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.
Refunds are handled as described in the refund policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, brand and documentation belong to Tesio and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not give you any other right in it.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (hosting, storage, AI models, email, analytics, payments), listed in the privacy policy. Their availability affects the Service. Links to third-party sites, including YouTube videos you add, are governed by those sites’ terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tesio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tesio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost study results, arising from your use of the Service. Tesio’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us at [email protected] to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonable. Sections 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute is submitted to the state or federal courts located in Florida. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country or state of residence continue to apply, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that place. Before going to court, contact us at [email protected]: most problems are solved faster that way.
13. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. For material changes we notify you by email or inside the application at least 14 days before they take effect. Using the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
